Dwayne Anthony Eiland, 47, of Lee's Summit, MO passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at the Kansas City Hospice House.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 14, 2013 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm with funeral service at 7:00 pm at the McGilley & Sheil Chapel with burial of ashes at a later date.

Dwayne was born on October 11, 1965 in Kansas City, MO.

He was employed as a construction laborer for the Gill Construction Co. for twenty years and most recently with Lytle Construction Co. for the last ten years. Dwayne was a member of the Greater Kansas City Laborers Union # 1290.

He served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1987 after serving nearly three years.

Dwayne was an avid football fan and loved to follow the K.C. Chiefs and he also loved to fish. As an accomplished cook, Dwayne loved to have his family to the house for Sunday dinners. He loved spending time with them and his grandkids were the "light of his life".

Dwayne was preceded in death by his mom, Rose Marie (Rituno) Eiland; his father, Charles Eiland; and one uncle, James Rituno. He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Kim, of the home; one son, Dwain Anthony "Tony" Eiland, Jr (Jenna), one daughter, Kayla Marie Eiland; one brother, Douglas Edward Eiland; five sisters, Linda Gill, Denise Giovanni, Darlene Moline (Rich), Rosann Castro and Charlene "Chocks" Eiland; four grandchildren, Gauge Anthony Eiland, Carmine Anthony Grenier, Cason Dwayne Eiland and Addison Grace Eiland; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Kansas City Hospice House, 12000 Wornall Rd. Kansas City, MO 64145. Condolences to
