Pauline is the daughter of William and Marie Agatha Egloff. William was born 9 April 1814 in France and died 21 April 1881 in Mason City, Iowa. Marie was born 30 Jan 1827 in Bayern/Bavaria, Germany and died 28 November 1898 in Mason City, Iowa.

Pauline is a sister to Max, Eugene, Joseph, Leontine, all born in Germany; and Lizzy, Minnie, and Willie Egloff, all born in Iowa.

The family immigrated to the US between 1854 and 1858. They lived in Delaware, Delaware, Iowa in 1860; and in Charles City, Floyd, Iowa in 1870.

Her father took out a land grant application in Dubuque, Iowa for 142 acres on 15 April 1857.

Pauline worked as a domestic servant for Abraham and Celestine (Warner) Carey in 1870 in Black Hawk, Black Hawk, Iowa.

She married Albert Asbury Dubois in 1874. He was born 11 January 1846 in Missouri and died 18 September 1917 in Roseburg, Douglas, Oregon.

She had five children, two of whom died before 1900. Myrtle V. and Ione were listed in the 1900 census.

She and Albert moved to McMinnville, Yamhill, Oregon between 1893 and 1900; then to Roseburg, Douglas, Oregon by 1910.

Pauline had been receiving medical treatment in Salem, Marion, Oregon for several months before her death.
