The Henry Bulletin, 08 Apr 1932, page 2, col. 3 (dited).,

C. C. Eggleston was born December 22, 1855 and died March 26, 1932, making his stay on this earth 76 years, 3 months and 4 days. As a young man he was a model son and obedient to his parents, kind and affectionate to his neighbors.
He was married to Sallie J. Glass in 1878, and to this union was born nine children all of whom survive except one. He joined the Primitive Baptist Church at Leatherwood in 1887 and lived a devoted and consistent member until his death. He was a devoted husband and father, loved and honored by his neighbors, and had many friends who will now miss his smiling face. Children, weep not for your father, be reconciled to the good Lord as much as lies within you. The funeral services were conducted by Elders Randolph Perdue and J. B. Wade at Camp Branch Church in the presence of many friends and relatives, and the body was laid to rest in the cemetery near the church by the side of his wife who preceded him to the grave seven years ago. "Asleep in Jesus blessed sleep from which none ever awake to weep."
