Alice Ann Ege
Former Kimball resident Alice Ann Ege, 92, of Gering, died Tuesday, June 19, 2001, at the Heritage Health Care Center in Gering.
Graveside services were Saturday, June 23, at Kimball Cemetery, with the Rev. Francis Curran officiating. Recitation of the rosary was held Friday, June 22,at the Cantrell Funeral Home.
She was born on February 20, 1909, in Barada, Neb. to Henry and Emma (Schlader) Kuhlman. She married Leonard Ege in 1927, in Fall City, Neb., where they lived for a number of years. She lived in Nebraska most of her life and spent several years living in Kimball before moving to Gering. She has lived at the Heritage Health Care Center in Gering since 1978.
She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Fall City.
She is survived by one granddaughter, Mary Webb and her husband John of Kimball; three grandsons, Jerry Trujillo and his wife Sandra of Tacoma, Wash., Larry Trijillo and his wife Sue of Mahomet, Illinois and Michael Trujillo and his wife Roxie of Fontana, Calif.; 11 great grandchildren and eight great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Leonard in 1968, one daughter Janet Trujillo-Reitz and one brother Marvin Kuhlman.
Memorial gifts may be made to the Alice Ege Memorial Fund.
Cantrell Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
