Anna Lou Bennett of Keller went to her Father in heaven surrounded by family at home on Friday, May 25, 2007, after a brief illness.

Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Lucas Funeral Home of Keller. Burial: Oakridge Memorial Park in Oakridge, Tenn.

Anna Lou was born Aug. 20, 1924, to Frank and Ilda Edwards of Coal Creek, Tenn. She was a friendly and loving child who had a keen sense of style from an early age.

Anna Lou had tremendous beauty within and was proud to display her love of life. She could accomplish anything with a smile and a kind word. Anna Lou was a devout Christian and sought to help others in any way she could.

She was a member of First Baptist Church, Lake City, Tenn., First Baptist Church, Tullahoma, Tenn., Robertsville Baptist Church, Oak Ridge, Tenn., and First Baptist Church, Keller.

Anna Lou wed Harry Lee Bennett on May 30, 1946, in Lake City, Tenn. They were married for 59 glorious years until Harry's passing in March 2005. Harry and Ann Lou were a delightful couple who loved to travel and dance. They discovered wealth in their love for each other and their family. The Bennetts cherished their Lord and life while returning their blessings to those around them. They adored each other and made a wonderful life together.

Anna Lou had recently remarried just a month before her passing. She met Harold Rohde of Hurst at a local senior dance event and truly enjoyed her time with him. Anna Lou and Harold were joyful dance partners and were wed on April 21, 2007. They were looking forward to many happy years together. Sadly, their time was shortened by Anna Lou's passing.

Anna Lou Bennett was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She was deeply devoted to her marriage and her family. She was a friend to all with whom she shared life through the years. Anna Lou was a beautiful example of love. She will be dearly missed by those whose hearts she has touched forever.

"Mother, the love in you heart is something I know I'll always have. You have shown me this over and over again. Thank you for your love."

She was preceded in death by parents, Frank and Ilda Edwards; brother, John Edwards; and husband, Harry Lee Bennett.

Survivors: Sisters-in-law, Mary Frank Coile of Oak Ridge, Tenn., Carmetia Alderson of Lake City, Tenn., Vivian Minish and husband, HD of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; daughter, Donna Purcell and son-in-law, George Purcell of Roanoke; husband, Harold Rohde of Hurst; grandson, Tom Purcell of Roanoke; grandson, David Purcell of Fort Worth; nieces; and nephews.
