Obituary;
Funeral services for Clyde M. Edwards, 64, of Phillips are scheduled at 11 a.m. Wednesday from First Christian Church. The Rev. Kenneth Jones, pastor, will officiate.

Edwards was an area resident since 1928 and was a member of First Christian Church and Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge, 1255 A.F. and A.M.

He died at 8:40 a.m. Sunday at Houston Clinic. He was employed by Phillips Petroleum Company as operator superintendent, with 35 years of service.

Surviving are his wife, Stella; two sons, Clyde M. Edwards Jr., and Billy Edwards, both of Houston; one sister, three brothers, and six grandchildren.

Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Amarillo, will be under the auspices of Adobe Walls Lodge. All lodge members are requested to report to the Masonic Temple on North Hedgecoke at 10 a.m. Wednesday to participate in the services.

Interment will be directed by Ed Brown, Funeral Directors.

Clyde M. Edwards, 62, well known area resident since 1928, 30 Santa Fe, Phillips, died at 8:40 a.m. Sunday at a Houston clinic following a long illness.

Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Kenneth Jones, pastor, assisted by Rev. Joe Neil Lacy, pastor of the First Christian Church, Dumas, officiating. Graveside rites will be in Amarillo Memorial Park under the auspices of Adobe Walls Lodge 1355 A.F. and A.M., and the direction of Ed Brown, funeral director.

Lodge members should report in the Masonic Temple at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Edwards was a past Worshipful Master of Adobe Walls Lodge, a member of Khiva Temple, Borger Shrine Club, and the Adobe Walls Order of Eastern Star Chapter 1059. He was also a member of the First Christian Church. He was refinery supervisor for Phillips Petroleum Company.

Survivors include his wife, Stella; two sons, Clyde M. Edwards Jr., and Billy Edwards, both of Houston; one sister, Mrs. Lena Estes of Visalia, California; three brothers, Homa of Burbank, California, Guy of Russellville, Arkansas, and Everett of Oklahoma City; and six grandchildren.

Serving as active bearers will be M.M. Henderson, Irvin Kimmins, W.A. Hren, D.A. Rife, Hugh Hanson and Ray Hatley. The family has requested that in lieu of the usual remembrances, contributions be made to Hematology Research Division, M.D. Anderson Clinic, 6723 Bertner Avenue, Houston, Texas.

Honorary pallbearers are Past Masters of Adobe Walls Masonic Lodge 1355, Supervisors at Borger Refinery and N.G.L. Process Center.
