Isaac Edwards, 9 West Broad Street, Nanticoke, retired Glen Alden mine official, died Saturday morning in Nanticoke State Hospital. He had been ailing for several years.
A life resident of Nanticoke, he was the son of the late John and Margaret Edwards, early residents. He worked for many years as section foreman at the Bliss Colliery, retiring in January, 1948.
Deceased was a member of First Baptist Church of Nanticoke and Jr. QUAM.
Surviving are his widow, the former Martina Smith; two daughters, Mrs. Bliss Palmer, East Orange, N. J.; Annette, at home; brothers, David Edwards, Loomis Park; Thomas Edwards, Nanticoke; Abner Edwards, New York City; sister, Miss Louise Edwards, Nanticoke, and tow grandchildren.
Funeral will be held Tuesday at 2 from the funeral home, 270 East Main Street, with Rev. Allan D. McGraw officiating.
Interment will be in Hanover Green Cemetery.
