Death of an Old Citizen
Mr. Jackson Edmonston, a well-known and respected citizen, died at his residence, on H Street, near Fourth Street, after a long illness, on Monday afternoon, in the fifty-fifth year of his age. He was a member of the Order of Odd Fellows and had risen to considerable eminence in the fraternity, belonging to Central Lodge No. 1, the Grand Lodge, Mount Nebo Encampment and the Grand Encampment and a few years ago was Grand Master of this jurisdiction. The funeral will take place tomorrow afternoon and will be attended by the bodies of which he was a member.
