MRS. EDMONDSON

LAGRANGE -- Mrs. Frances Edmondson, 80, of LaGrange died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.

Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 27 at 2 p.m. at Rosemont Baptist Church in LaGrange with the Rev. Max McCord officiating. Burial will follow in Meadoway Gardens.

Mrs. Edmondson is survived by her son, Carl (Edna) Edmondson of Lanett; two daughters, Voncile Morman and Sharon (Charles) Arrington, both of LaGrange; her special friend and care giver, Larisa Bowen of LaGrange; seven grandchildren and spouses, Bobby and Kim Edmondson of Lanett, Todd and Jackie Edmondson of Rainbow City, Ala., Joey Morman, Mike and Cassidy Arrington, David and Sabrina Arrington and Greg and Anne Arrington, all of LaGrange, and Mickey and Sandy Morman of Pine Mountain, Ga.; 11 great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ann Hester, Maxine Smith and Carolyn Henderson, all of LaGrange; one brother, Calvin Smith of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.

Born March 8, 1923 in Troup County, Mrs. Edmondson had lived in LaGrange all her life. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Rosemont Baptist Church and the WMU, and a former member of Franklin Road Baptist Church, where she taught Sunday school. Mrs. Edmondson was an avid gardener. She was preceded in death by her husband, O.C. Edmondson; her son, Ricky Edmondson; her grandson, Rodney Edmondson; her son-in-law, Billy Joe Morman; and her brother, Edgar Smith. She was the daughter of the late Edgar W. and Pearl Kirby Smith.

The family will be at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Charles Arrington, at 1824 Stovall Road.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Aug. 26 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Hunter-Allen-Myhand Funeral Home in LaGrange.
