Michael Henry Edlin, 70, of Elizabethtown, died Monday, May 7, 2012 at Hardin Memorial Hospital. He was a native of Hardin County, a 1961 graduate of Elizabethtown Catholic High School and he played basketball on their Championship team in the LIT. He was a member of the Central Kentucky Draft Horse and Mule Association and Cloverleaf Western Saddle Club. He was a carpenter, Past President of the Lincoln Trail Home Builders Association, and a Founding member of Hardin County Planning and Development Commission. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles W. and Mary Jennie Crawford Edlin; six brothers, John Roy, William Robert, Francis Glenn, Charles Patrick, Albert and James Paul Edlin; and a sister, Rilla Ann Edlin. He is survived by his son, Todd (Teresa) Edlin; two daughters, Tanya (Keith) Johnson and Michele Robbins all of Elizabethtown; a step-daughter, Kelly (Aaron) Bickett of Crestwood; two brothers, Joseph Kenneth (Mary Fred) Edlin of Greenville, SC and Walter Thomas (Judy) Edlin of Elizabethtown; two sisters, Rose Mary Morris of Louisville and Betty (Kenneth) Leasor of Rineyville; ten grandchildren, Joshua Crutcher, Oren Robbins, Megan Edlin, Tyler Edlin, Clay Fullerton, Shelby Fullerton, Jessica Johnson, Jason Johnson, Shane Bickett and Sydney Bickett, and a special friend, Kathy Edlin. The funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. James Catholic Church with Rev. Jeff Hopper officiating. Burial will follow at St. James Cemetery. Vistation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and continue after 9 a.m. Thursday at Brown Funeral Home. A prayer vigil will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
