Fannie Mae Edenfield Davis - GARDEN CITY -
Fannie Mae Edenfield Davis, 84, of Garden City, GA, died peacefully on Thursday June 24th, 2010 at her home surrounded by her family. She was under the care of Odyssey Hospice Health Care.
She retired from the Chatham County board of Education with more than 35 years of service. She was a home maker and Mother. She was born in Emanuel County. Fannie Mae was born to the late Dewey Edenfield and Hattie E. Rowe.
She graduated from Emanuel County Institute.
She was a faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, since 1948.
Fannie Mae was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Thelma E. Puffenburger and Lucille E. Miller; 2 brothers, R.J. Edenfield and Otto Edenfield.
Surviving are her 2 sons, W.A. Davis, Jr. (Billy) of Pooler, GA. and Anthony Davis and his wife Carolyn of Savannah, GA.; 1 brother, Vernon Edenfield of Waco, Texas; 1 grand-child, Bridgette Speegle; 2 great-grandchildren, Will Speegle and Brandon Gilmore; special niece, Vickie E. Bland and several other nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation: 6 - 8 pm Friday at Fairhaven Funeral Home.
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Saturday at the Funeral Home with Rev. Kenny Harrelson officiating.
Interment to follow at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church in Twin City, GA. at 2:00 pm.
