Obituary:
WILLIAM E. EDELBLUTE - Mr. Edelblute, 56, of 5409 Grandview Ave., died at 1:15 a.m. today, Oct. 22, 1984, in Altoona Hospital, after an extended illness. Mr. Edelblute retired from the Department of General Services, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in 1981, after 10 years' service. He was born Feb. 20, 1928, in Altoona, the son of Clyde and Rachael (Rupert) Edelblute, and Sept. 16, 1948, married Phyllis Mullin. Surviving are his wife, five children: Nancy Heverly of Hollidaysburg, Sally Thompson of Atlanta, Ga.; Betsy Sturtsman of Harrisburg, William of Altoona and Scott, at home, and six grandchildren. Also surviving are three sisters: Virginia Appleman of Altoona, Barbara McIntire of Sacramento, Calif., and Jeannette Carr of Tuscon, Ariz. Mr. Edelblute was a member of the Fifty-Eighth Street United Methodist Church. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m Tuesday in the Stevens Mortuary.
EDELBLUTE - Services for William Edelblute of 5409 Grandview Ave. will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Memorial Chapel of Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 8th Ave., by the Rev. Charles Zimmerman. Interment in Alto-Reste Park. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m Tuesday in the Stevens Mortuary.
