C. R. Eddy was born near Detroit, Michigan, August 18, 1821, and died at the home of his oldest daughter, Mrs. Abner Arrasmith, in Belleville, Kansas, Dec. 16, 1899.
He married Miss Rosina Griswold April 19, 1843. They emigrated to Iowa in the fall of 1856, and moved to Kansas Nov. 1888. To this union thirteen children were born.
The wife and seven children preceded hm to the mansions alove., six children, two sons and four daughters mourn their loss.
Father Eddy was converted when about sixteen years of age, and joined the M. E. church in which he lived a faithful member until death.
The funeral sermon was preached by Rev. E. L Hutchins at the home of his son-in-law, Abner Arrasmith, in this city, at 9:30 a.m., the 18th inst., and the remains were laid to rest by the side of those of his wife in the Ida cemetery.
