Anne H. Eckman, 80, of Landis Homes, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday evening, July 17, 2013. Born in Spring Lake, NJ, she was a daughter of the late Stanley and Carrie (Cobb) Height. She is survived by her loving husband of over 50 years, Milton B. Eckman.

Having spent most of her life in New Jersey, Anne was an active member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, where she was the carol choir director. In earlier years, Anne was a bank teller at Spring Lake First National Bank. She went on to work as a floral designer at Barlow's Flower Farm in Sea Girt, N.J. Since moving to Lancaster, Anne had become a member of Crossway Church. Anne was an active member of the Grandview Singers choral group. She also volunteered at local nursing homes by playing the piano and encouraging residents to sing.

In addition to her husband, Anne is survived by a daughter, Carol Anne, wife of Joseph Harsel of Cockeysville, MD; and a son, Thomas M., husband of Lara Eckman of East Petersburg. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren. Anne was preceded in death by 4 siblings and a granddaughter, Lauren Mae Eckman.

Funeral Services will take place at the West Bethany Chapel of the Landis Homes Retirement Community, 1001East Oregon Road, Lititz, PA 17543 on Saturday, July 20, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Doug Plank officiating. The family will receive friends in the chapel from 12:00-1:00 p.m. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Elverson. Kindly omit flowers. Contributions may be made to the Landis Homes Caring Fund at the above address.
