PIONEER GOES TO HER REWARD
Mrs. M. Audier Passes Away on Monday Evening
Mrs. M. Audier, one of the pioneer residents of this county passed away at the home of her son, John in this city on Monday evneing at about ten o'clock. Deceased had suffered a stroke of paralysis on Dec. 14, and apparently was on the way to recovery. On Sunday she suffered another stroke which resulted in her death. She attained the age of 80 years. The funeral will be held on Friday afternoon. Services will be conducted at the house by Rev. T.A. Boerner and interment will be made at the city.
Mrs. Andier whose maiden name was Mary Louise Eckel, was born at McConnelsburg, Pennsylvania on July 4, 1839 and came to this community in 1852. She was married to Mr. Marcellin Audier in this city on July 27, 1856. They settled at Fredonia where Mr. Audier engaged in surveying. After residing at the above place, for three years they moved to this city, where Mr. Audier continued as a surveyor and also conducted a drug store. Mr. Audier died about ten years ago and since that time Mrs. Audier has been making her home with her children.
Deceased is survived by five children as follows: Mrs. Anna Von Hagen, F.J. Audier and Mrs. J.T. Stephany of this place, J.F. Audier of Milwaukee and Mrs. J.T. Farmer of Chicago. She also leaves ten grandchildren.
