Mrs. Ruth V. Eby, wife of Benjamin Eby Sr and daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Richley died at 7:15 Monday morning in the Church Home hospital, Baltimore, where she had been a patient since November 2. Her death resulted from an operation which was performed last Wednesday. She was 26 years old.
she is survived by her husband: one son Benjamin Eby, Jr. twenty months old; her parents: two sisters, Mrs. Richard Snyder and Miss Bessie Richley at home and one brother Paul Richley.
Mrs. Eby was a graduate of the Patrick Commercial school, and from 1916 to 1920 was bookkeeper at the J. W. Richley Auto Company of York.
She was a member of Ridge Avenue M. E. Church, York.
The body was taken to York where it was prepared for burial. The funeral will be held this afternoon with services at the home of her parents. Rev. C. Snavely will officiate. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Had lived Mr and Mrs Eby would have celebrated their third wedding anniversary Monday evening. They were married three years ago Monday in the room in which her body now lives.
Mrs. Eby was formerly of Littlestown and well known here.
