She was born in Saint Louis, MO on January 29, 1938. She grew up in Illinois, and in 1956 married the love of her life, Raymond Short. In 1970 she and her family moved to Cushing, Oklahoma. She was blessed with one daughter and five sons.
Rosalie lived in Cushing over 30 years. She faithfully attended the United Pentecostal Church. She was a diligent employee at Cushing Hospital for 18 years before retiring. She was a faithful wife, a loving mother, and a mighty prayer warrior. She faced many hardships in her life, but always trusted God and was quick to give him praise and thanks. She was the epitome of a Proverbs 31 woman. “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies."
She was preceded in death by her father Vernon Eaton, her mother Vinita Stroud, her loving husband Raymond Short, and her son Ronald Short.
She is survived by her daughter Linda Gorman (Cecil) of Broken Arrow, OK, her sons David Short (Linda) of Cleveland, OK, Jason Short (Karry) of Van, TX, Kevin Short (Raquel) of Sapulpa, OK and Richard Short (Theresa) of Sapulpa, OK. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, numerous brothers and sisters, and a host of friends and loved ones.
Her family will miss her terribly, but can't help but rejoice. She received her reward, what she's been waiting for her whole life. She is in no pain. Her body has strength like it hasn't seen in a long time. She is with her savior!
