Mrs. George R. Eastham, wife of the late G. R. Eastham, one of Harrisonburg's leading men of the past generation; died Thursday night unexpectedly at the home of her son, Robert L. Eastham, at Red Spring, N. C., according to a message received by Mrs. George S. Harnsberger,
Mrs. Eastham's daughter. The body will arrive here today, and funeral services will be held from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harnsberger, 635 South Main street at 4:30 o'clock this afternoon. Interment will be in Woodbine Cemetery.
Before her marriage, Mrs. Eastham was Miss Josephine Cowan, daughter of the late Jacob N. Cowan, of' Tenth Legion. She was born at the old Cowan home near Tenth Legion.
Her husband died three years ago. Mrs. Eastham made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Harnsberger after Mr. Eastham's death.
She left here about two weeks ago for a visit at the home of her son at Red Spring, N. C. She was a life-long member of the Episcopal Church.
She is survived by the following children: Mrs. George S. Harnsberger, of Harrisonburg, C. O. Eastham, city engineer of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Maj. Kenria Eastham, U. S. A., stationed at Newport, R. I., and Robert L. Eastham, of Red Spring, N. C
