Adoline Easley Carroll, 88, of Houston, a child of God, passed from this life July 15, 2002, to be with the Lord in her new heavenly home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James V. Carroll Jr., who was raised in Brenham; their daughters, Mary Carroll and Catherine Carroll Harper; her sisters, Ellen Easley, Tom Joyce Cunningham and Nina Price; and brother, Leslie Easley.

She is survived by her sister, Sarah Gordon; her son and daughter-in-law, James and Florence Carroll; her grandchildren and their spouses, Clint and Carolyn Harper, Mack Harper, Kate and John Aranda, Patrick Harper, Mary and Jeff Burton, Jamie Carroll and David Carroll; her great-grandchildren, Aaron, Andrew and Cole Harper, Gabriel and Emory Aranda and Luke and Reagan Burton; and her nieces and nephews and their children.

Adoline taught fourth grade for many years at St. Anne's Catholic School in Houston.

A service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, July 18, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brenham, followed by burial at Prairie Lea Cemetery in Brenham. Instead of sending flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive, Houston.
