The body of A.J, Earp of the Neches community farmer was fished out of the Neches River near his home today at noon with a fifty pound rock tied around his neck.
Earp left a note tied to a grubbing how in the field where he had been cutting sprouts, stating that he was going to drown himself.
Decedent was about 68 years old and had been despondent for sometime as he said luck had been going against him. He left a widow and two daughters.
