Louise Early "Bit" Adkinson, died Saturday, May 23, 2009.
She was the daughter of the late Rev. Hunter Early and Louise Wheeler Early, of Lynchburg. She was married in 1943 to Col. Neville Keith Adkinson, who predeceased her in 1994. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Alice Early Thompson, who died in September 2008, and her brother, Dr. William A. Early, who died in 1977.
She is survived by her son, Neville Keith "Kip" Adkinson Jr., of Lynchburg, a granddaughter, Jessica Nicole Adkinson, of Nelson County, and a nephew, Fletcher Keith Adkinson, of Hartsville, Tenn. She is also survived by two nieces, Ann Miller, of Roanoke and Brooking Thompson DuPiest, of Athens, Ga.
Bit's friends and family are all invited to a reception in celebration of her life which will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 9, 2009, at Sandusky, 757 Sandusky Drive, Lynchburg.
Her family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials take the form of contributions to the Sandusky Foundation, 757 Sandusky Drive, Lynchburg, VA 24502
