Lorene A. Cook, 90, of Farina, formerly of Windsor, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Heartland Christian Village, Neoga.

Mrs. Cook was born in Clay County on Jan. 10, 1921, to William and Cecilia (Simmons) Ealy. She married James R. Cook on Feb. 16, 1937, in Xenia. He preceded her in death on Jan. 24, 1994.

She was a homemaker and enjoyed going to rummage sales.

Lorene is survived by her children, Richard Cook, Wanda K.Yingst, Connie Landreth, Lonnie Cook, and Becky Ray; 22 grandchildren; 38 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Ingram; and brothers, Ralph, Noel, Glen, and Charlie Simmons.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Darleen Sapp; granddaughters, Brenda, Teresa, Jeanette and Hanna; grandsons, David, Jason, Devon and Jacob; sisters, Marjorie Lacey and Vera Parkhurst; and brothers, Lawrence Ealy and Robert, Harold, Leon and Leroy Simmons.

Funeral services were held at Pagel Funeral Home, Edgewood, with the Rev. Richard Coen officiating.

Burial was in Keen's Chapel Cemetery, Laclede.
