She had resided in the East Finley Township area all her life. She married Harry on April 15, 1950. Opal was a member of Fairmount United Methodist Church, where she was an active volunteer with the Ladies Aid and Vacation Bible School. She also was a member of the former East Finley 4-H and Washington County Horse and Mule Association. She enjoyed reading, gardening and canning and collected ceramic chicken figurines. She was an employee of the former Claysville Café and was last employed by McGuffey School District as a cook at East-West Finley Elementary School, prior to retiring in 1997. Surviving are a daughter; six sons; a sister; 20 grandchildren; 12 great- grandchildren; and her children's spouses. Deceased, in addition to her parents and husband, are a granddaughter, Jennifer Hardage, and a brother, Raymond Edward Ealy. Rush Funeral Home Inc., Rogersville.
