she was the daughter of William G Fleming and Elizabeth (Dillon) Fleming

Mrs. Nancy Jane (Fleming) Eakins, age 75 years, widow of the late Than Eakins, died at her home in Roseland near Glasgow on Saturday December 3rd at 10:30 o'clock. Mrs. Eakins was born on January 23, 1858 and was united in marriage with Thad Eakins, who preceded her to the grave. She was a member of the Roselawn Sunday School and the Third Presbyterian church of Altoona. Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Paul Youngkin of Hollidaysburg, Mrs. Catherine Youngkin of Altoona, Pa., Mrs. Florence Irwin and Clinton Eakins of Blandburg, Austin Eakins of Mountaindale, Lillian, Allen and Wade Eakins at home. One sister Mrs. Frank Troxell and nine grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Beaver Valley United Brethren church with Rev. McClure, pastor of the Third Presbyterian church, officiating. Burial was made in the Beaver Valley cemetery. Undertaker R. E. Hunter of Irvona was in charge.
