A former resident of Cape Girardeau, Mrs. Daisy Eakins of Memphis, Tenn., died Sunday morning in a Memphis hospital. She was 80 years old.
She was born Dec. 19, 1888, at Whitewater. She and Isom A. Eakins were married July 30, 1911, at Whitewater. He died in August 1949. She was a former member of Centenary United Methodist Church, and moved to Memphis in 1949.
Mrs. Eakins is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Wm. C. Miller of Memphis, with whom she made her home; a grandson and a great-grandson.
The body is at Ford and Sons Funeral Home,where services will be held at 2 Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. J. Ray Trotter, pastor of Centenary Church, officiating. Burial will be in Thompson Cemetery near Gordonville.
