MRS. JOHN C. EAKINS SUCCUMBS AFTER OPERATION

Mrs. Blanche Pillow Eakin, aged 36, 1905 Battery Street, died at a Little Rock hospital at noon Friday following an operation. She had been in ill health for two years. She was the wife of John C. Eakin, secretary of the Big Rock Stone and Material Company.

Mrs. Eakin was a member of the Junior League, of which at one time she was secretary. She also was a member of Daughters of the King of Trinity cathedral.

She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Mary Pillow Eakin; two sons, John C. Eakin Jr. and Julian Robert Eakin, and her mother, *Mrs. R. G. Pillow, wife of the late R. G. Pillow, who served as county clerk of Pulaski county.

Funeral services will be held at Trinity cathedral at 4 p.m. Satuday in charge of the Rev. John Williamson and the Rev. W. P. Witsell.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial park in charge of P.H. Ruebel & Co. Pallbearers will be: Ben F. Dickinson, Whitney Harb, James H. Penick, Lawrence B. Burrow, Frank Goodman, Frank Ginocchio, Horace Brown and W. R. Crow.
