WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. - Services for Cheyenne resident Chester W. "Bill" Eads, 87, will be conducted at noon Monday, Feb. 23, in Olinger Crown Hill Chapel in Wheat Ridge.
Born in Rothville, Mo., he was the son of Lucy Ann and Lon Eads; and, at age 2, moved to Colorado Springs, Colo.. He then lived in Flagler, Colo., until the mid-1930s.
He began driving a truck for RB Wilson and, in 1936, purchased a truck and continued to drive for the company until 1956. In 1957, he went to work for M&M Transport until 1964.
From 1965 to 1973, he worked for Ward Transport.
He enjoyed fishing.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Gertrude, and son, Duane, both of Cheyenne; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and six siblings, Hazel, Melvin, Herb, Mildred, Helen and Marie.
He was preceded in death by two siblings, Velma and Joe.
