Geneva Mae Eads White
92, of Cynthiana, KY., died Monday, July 9, 2012, at Grand Haven Nursing Home. She was born in Scott County, KY., March 7, 1920, to the late James Parker and Leona McKinley Eads. She graduated from Oxford High School in 1938 and was a member of the First United Methodist Church. She was a farmer and grocery clerk for Cut-Rate Grocery and retired from Kens Super Value in 1985. She was preceded in death by her husband J. B. White and a sister, Ruby McNeese. Survivors include one son, Burl Wayne (Becky) White, grandson, James E. White and granddaughter, Catherine White (Mikey) Conrad, great granddaughter, Ruth Conrad, sister, Louise Courtney, brother, Harold Eads and numerous nieces and nephews. Services will be conducted Thursday, July 12, 2012, at 10:30 AM at the Drake-Whaley-McCarty Funeral Home, by Pastor Mike Coppersmith, with burial in Battle Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 7 PM Wednesday, at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church. Active Pallbearers are Steve Eads, Mike McNeese, Sterling Wagoner, Jr., Mikey Conrad, Steve Prows and Jerry Prows. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Grand Haven Nursing Home for their excellent care given to Mrs. White.
