Alford, Mrs. Midge Dykes—Died Wednesday, Sept. 16, 1992, at the Medical Center of Louisiana, New Orleans. She was 44 and a resident of Roseland.
Visiting at First Baptist Church, Arcola, 6 to 10 p.m. Thursday, and 10 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Friday, conducted by the Rev. Bob Simpson. Burial in Arcola-Roseland Cemetery.
Survived by husband, Donald "Red" Alford, Roseland; two daughters, Janet Alford, Roseland, and Julia Alford, Roseland; a son, Willie Alford, Roseland; two sisters, Mrs. Madge Shoemaker, Lake Charles, and Mrs. Anne Schenck, New Orleans; and grandmother, Mrs. Inez Dykes, Roseland.
She was a member of First Baptist Church, Arcola, and a former teacher at First Baptist Church School, Arcola.
