Mrs. Mary Frances Byrd Blue 63, died Monday night August 11, 1968 at Callaway County Hospital.
She was born August 17, 1906 in Centralia to Henry and Hattie Hunt Dye. She was married to Roy Byrd in 1923 and he preceded her in death July 20, 1942. She married Ray Dews. She later married Emmitt D. Blue in 1962.
Mary is survived by her husband, four children Nollie Bob Byrd of Kansas City, Charles Edward Byrd, Mrs. Charles (Mary Lee Byrd) Lepley, Mrs. Benny (Shirley Ann Byrd) Tharp all of Calwood, a brother Robert (Evie) Dye of Calwood, a sister Mrs. Hazel Goodman of Des Moines, Iowa, 10 Grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
Her parents, two brothers, William "Bill" Dye and John Henry Dye, a sister, Mildred "Doll" Dye Dailey Flowers and a son Louis Johnston Byrd preceded her in death.
Mrs. Blue lived all her life in Callaway County.
Funeral services were conducted at Ebenezer Babtist Church with the Reverand Fred Pulliam performing the service. Burial was at Ebenezer Cemetary.
Pallbearers were Roy Lewis, Darrell and Bob Knipp and Marvin, Bobbie and Frank A. Dye.
