Erwin L. Duzan, 89, Lexington, died at 10:30 a.m. Monday (Aug. 15, 2011) at Heritage Manor, Normal.

He was born June 26, 1922 in Kansas, Illinois to O.C. and Fern L. Whisnand Duzan. He married Jeanette Mitchell on Sept. 18, 1949 in Kansas, Illinois. She died Jan. 19, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents; one son, Bruce A. Duzan and two brothers.

Surviving are three children, Paul (Betty) Duzan, Colfax; Ann (David) Galick, Peoria and David (Kellie) Duzan, Lexington; seven grandchildren, Jason (Laura) Duzan, Jill (Andrew) Johnson, Kristina (Adam) Waugh, Caitlin Galick, Peter Galick, Lindsay Duzan and Jessica Duzan; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, Jim Duzan, Sedalia, Mo. and one sister, Nila Southard, Oakland.

He was a World War II U.S. Army veteran, serving in the 80th Infantry where he received a Bronze Star.
