Funeral services will be Tues. at 11 a.m. at the Granger 6th Ward, 3274 South Hillsdale Drive. There will be a viewing Monday from 6-8 p.m. at McDougal Funeral Home, 4330 S. Redwood Road and Tuesday from 10-10:45 a.m. at the Church. Interment: Valley View Memorial Park.

Coy was responsible for the dedication of the headstone of his great, great grandfather, Edmund Durfee, in the Historic Nauvoo Cemetery on June 4, 2005. Edmund Durfee, Sr. was killed by the mob in November of 1845, when the Mormons returned to Morley's Settlement, near Green Plains to harvest their crops. Durfee's attackers were identified and arrested, but never brought to trial, even though "their guilt was sufficiently apparent," according to Illinois Governor Thomas Ford.
