I do see the records state Dunfee at marriage, with the marriage announcement reading Durfee. She has an overwhelming resemblance to the Elizabeth Durfee/Durfey b. 1798 at Vermont, whose father was born at New London County, Connecticut. I don't think her dau's death cert gives her mother's maiden name, and I think she is an only child. So I don't know how the direct family could research her with surety. The Smith family were at Deerfield, Massachusetts and they were all linked to Connecticut w/Norwich being the link.
