Mrs. Jimmie Durden Blocker, age 85, Vidalia, died Monday, January 1, 2001, in a Dublin Hospital.
She was a native of Treutlin County and was a daughter of the late Harrison W. and Pricilla Frost Durden. She was married to the late T.A. Blocker. She was a retired co-owner and operator of T.A. Blocker's General Store, Montgomery County.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Carolyn Blocker, Vidalia; two granddaughters and their husbands, Jackie and Terry Rowe and Angie and Mark McKie, all of Vidalia; two great-grandchildren, Stuart McKie and Brooke McKie, both of Vidalia.
Funeral services were conducted Wednesday, January 3, 2001, at 2;00 p.m. in the chapel of Sammons Funeral Home, Soperton with Rev. Wayne Durden and Rev. Billy Earle officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church Cemetery, Montgomery County.
Pallbearers were Jimmy Hamilton, Lamar Atkins, James Claxton, Ricky Warnock, Roy Mimbs, Dwight Newsome, and Marty Morris.
