He lived all his life in Grand Ridge and was retired from farming. He was a member of St. Mary's Church and Knights of Columbus in Streator. He was a U.S. Army Air Force veteran of World War II.
He is survived by his wife; a son Donald A. of rural Grand Ridge; 2 daughters Mrs. Raymond (Eileen) McCabe of Peoria and Mrs. David (Joan) Gilomen of Arlington, VA. and 3 sisters, Mary Inks of Brooksville, FL, Margaret Graham and Irene Vercimak, both of rural Ottawa. He was preceded in death by 6 brothers and sisters.
