Nancy E. Banbury, 79, of rural Glenmont, died Thursday, April 16, 2015 in Hospice of North Central Ohio, Ashland following a 15 month illness. Mrs. Banbury was born January 3, 1936 in Danville, the daughter of the late Richard and Thelma (Lauer) Durbin. Nancy had lived in the Danville-Glenmont area all of her life and was a 1954 graduate of Danville High School. On October 9, 1954 she married Glen L.”Jack” Banbury and he died June 25, 1994. She was a 25-year employee of the Mohican State Park, working at the registration desk of the campground prior to her retirement in 2002. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and loved camping at Ohio’s state park campgrounds. She had attended the Cornerstone Christian Church, Mount Vernon.

She is survived by two daughters, Sherri (George) Lee of rural Loudonville, and Jackie (Ken) Dove of Mount Vernon; two sons, Russell (Melanie) Banbury of Newark, and Jeff Banbury of Danville; eight grandchildren: Alisa (Tim) Vickers, Adam (Pam) Lee, Jeff Banbury, Curtis (Andrea) Banbury, Crista (Dave) Neeson, Cara Banbury, Kate Dove, and Ryan Dove; ten great-grandchildren; and her sister, Sheila (Fred) Bartok of Millwood. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and a sister, Vida Mae Durbin.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, April 25 at 12:00 Noon in LINDSEY FUNERAL HOME, LOUDONVILLE, with Paul Dove and Rev. George Lee Sr., officiating. Burial will be in Wesley Chapel Cemetery, Danville. Friends may call Saturday April 25 from 10am until Noon in Lindsey Funeral Home, Loudonville. Memorial contributions may be given to the Dr. James Chen Research of the James Cancer Hospital, OSU Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio 43214.
