Services in Bay Minette, Alabama will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at 10 a.m. at Durant Chapel Baptist Church with interment at Durant Chapel Baptist Cemetery.
A native of Brainhard, MN, Mrs. Durant had lived in the Marietta area since 1977. She was a member of the Eastern Star and a supporter of Allatoona Charities. Being in a military family, Mrs. Durant was very active in the Family Readiness Program at Dobbins Air Force Base in Marietta. Being able to support education was very important to her, so supporting her grandchildren's PTA at Burnt Hickory Elementary and McClure Middle Schools was just second nature.
Mrs. Durant is survived by her husband, Ronald Durant, Dallas, GA; son, Ward and his wife Allison, Dallas, GA; granddaughters Claire and Catherine Durant, Dallas, GA; two brothers, Larry Sergent, Dallas, GA and Warren Sergent, Land of Lakes, FL.
