Elizabeth Frances Durant, a long time resident of Glynn and McIntosh counties, passed away on Nov. 28, 2007.
Elizabeth was a member of the McIntosh Chamber of Commerce, the Blessing of the Fleet Committee and the American Legion Auxiliary. She attended the Golden Isles Christian Church and loved and adored her family. She enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, camping and the outdoors. She also loved to cook and bake. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
Elizabeth is survived by her son, Carl Futch (Cindy) of Brunswick; her daughters, Rebekah Howell (Jeff) of Brunswick and Belinda Gwoompi (Preston) of Walters, Okla.; grandsons, Jason Futch and Dylan Howell of Brunswick and Preston Gwoompi of Walters; granddaughters, Carla Futch and Megan Howell of Brunswick and Angelique Gray of Russellville, Ark.; step-granddaughter, Kayla Howell of Brunswick; and great-grandchild, Kennergray of Russellville.
A celebration of Elizabeth's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Guthrie officiating.
Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Kellogg, the staff of Sears Nursing Home and the staff of Hospice of the Golden Isles.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Elizabeth's honor to Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.
