DURAN, ANGELINA
Angie was born on April 15, 1926 in Albuquerque, and passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on July 11, 2013 at the age of 87.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Tomas and Sofia Garcia; her half-brother, Joe Garcia; and her husband, Octabiano Duran.
Survived by her three sons and their wives, Tommy H. Contreras and Evelyn , Alex A. Contreras and Rebecca, Max F. Contreras and Victoria; half-sisters, Gayla Brautigam and Chris, Eileen Trujillo and Ruben, Elaine Sexton and Gene; grandchildren, Michelle Kidwell and Jeff, Lisa Gutierrez and Michael, Bianca Aguilar and Jeremy, Clarissa Midas and Tony, Tim Contreras and Desiree, Gabriel Contreras and Katalina, Bernadette Telles and Mike, Joshua Jaramillo and Rachel, Tomas Contreras and Angela, Raul Contreras and Stephanie, Carlos Contreras and Donna, Melissa Bagley and Christopher; step-daughters, Jennie Maestas and Gilbert, Kathy Tafoya and Tony, Patsy Duran and Gilbert; step-grandchildren, Chris Tafoya and Charlene, Brandon Tafoya, Conrad Maestas, GJ Maestas; 27 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; a special, kind and caring friend, Dolores "Lollie" Shumpert; many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She was retired from Sears where she was sales clerk. She was a loving, caring and unselfish mother, grandmother, great-grandmother who always thought of everyone before herself.
She will be greatly missed by all who called her "Grandma".
Interment at Mt. Calvary Cemetary.
Pallbearers will be Tomas Contreras, Raul Contreras, Carlos Contreras, Gabriel Contreras, Tim Contreras and Jeremy Aguilar.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Gutierrez, Jeff Kidwell, Joshua Jaramillo, and Greg Candelaria.
The eulogy will be performed by Carlos Contreras, and music by Jeff Kidwell.
