William A. Dunstan, age 83, a resident of Naperville, IL since 1972, died Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at his home. He was born on May 5, 1924, in Dividend, UT, the son of the late Bennet and Ottilie Dunstan.
William was married to the late Hazel (nee Thompson)
Dunstan in Salt Lake City, Utah on May 28, 1946 and sealed in the Salt Lake City Temple March 20, 1947.
Survivors include one son, Allyn (Beth) Dunstan; one daughter, Lisa (Antonello) Concas; grandchildren, Ruth (Patrick) Baugh, Jonathon, Matthew, Karen, Bennet, Hannah, and Catherine; three sisters-in-law, Joann (Roger) Pugmire, Alice Clark, and Marilyn (the late Kirk) Thompson and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, William was preceded in death by nine siblings.
William served in the U.S. Navy, as an underwater demolitions expert, during World War II. He received his Bachelor and Master's degrees from the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, pursued graduate work at the University of Washington, Seattle and was employed as Director of Quality Control for Quaker Oats Co., Chicago, IL for 17 years. William was a member of the Naperville Third Ward of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and, after retirement, served with his wife, Hazel, at the Chicago Temple in Glenview, IL. William was a self taught speaker of Russian and conducted business workshops in Russia after the fall of communism.
Visitation Friday, October 5, 6:00-9:00 P.M. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, IL. Funeral services Saturday, October 6, 10:00 A.M. in the funeral home. Interment Naperville Cemetery, Naperville.
