Mary Grace (Dunphy) Ball, 79, of Monroe Township died yesterday, March 29, 2005, at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold.
Born and raised in Hightstown, Mrs. Ball moved to Monroe Township 48 years ago. Mrs. Ball was employed for 15 years as an operator for Guardian Answering Service, Freehold, retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of American Legion Post 434 in Englishtown and VFW Post 5700 in Hightstown.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph R.; two daughters, Janet Ball and Jeanette Schmiedbauer, both of Lakewood, Colo.; four sons, Joseph R. Jr. of Ranshaw, Pa., Jeffrey of Cranbury, James of Plainsboro and Jay of Raritan; a brother, Floyd Dunphy of Lambertville; 17 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held 8:30 a.m. Friday, April 1, at Lester Memorial Home, 16 W. Church St., Jamesburg, followed by a 9 a.m. funeral liturgy at Holy Trinity R.C. Church, Helmetta. Burial will be at Holy Trinity Cemetery, Monroe Township. Visiting hours for family and friends will be 7 p.m. - 9 p.m. tomorrow only at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 846 Main St., Fords, NJ 08863.
