Arlene Banister, 67, of Lyon County, died at 7:45pm Saturday at Vanderbilt Hospital, Nashville, Tenn., after a long illness.
Services will be at 1pm Tuesday at Goodwin Funeral Home with the Rev. O.D. Boyd officiating and burial in East End Cemetery.
Visitation will begin at 4pm today at the funeral home.
A native of Mansfield, Tenn., she was born May 18, 1920, the daughter of the late Harrison and Dora Tiller Dunnaway. She was a member of Hurricane Baptist Church. A son, James H. Banister, died in 1984.
Survivors include her husband, Birdie Banister; two sons, J.R "Jimmy" Banister, Lyon County, and Anthony Banister, Lyon County; a sister, Stella Ryan, Paducah; and eight grandchildren.
