Mrs. Cooper had been a resident of Lyman for the past 17 years, formerly living in Woodruff.
She was the daughter of Mrs. Lou Iza Dunnaway of Woodruff and the late R.L. Dunnaway.
An active member of the Lyman Baptist church, she was superintendent of the cradle roll department of the church school.
Besides her husband and mother, she is survived by three daughters, Misses Pansy, Sarah and Carolinda Cooper, all of Lyman; one brother, Ervin Dunnaway of Woodruff; and two sisters, Mrs. Alma Crooks of Cross Anchor and Mrs. Cora Cooper of Spartanburg.
Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, January 28, 1941 at 4:00 pm at the Lyman Baptist church by the Rev. Howard Wilson, the Rev. D.W. Smith and the Rev. J.H. Smith. Interment was in Bethel cemetery in Woodruff.
Active pallbearers were D.O. Rogers, Howard Terrell, Mardell Eubanks, Elliot Eubanks, Ardell Hill and Austin Hudson.
The honorary escort was composed of members of circle No. 2 of the W.M.S. at the Lyman church.
The body was taken to the home from the Wood mortuary in Greer yesterday afternoon.
