Val Jean Bonnell, 82 years old, died in Nampa, Idaho on April 6, 2012.
Val Jean was born on August 3, 1930 in Bloomington, Nebraska. Her parents were Earl Dunn and Mable Anderson Dunn.
Val Jean is survived by her son, Rick Bonnell and wife, Heidi; her two grandchildren, Brock and Brooke of Boise; and brother, Verlyn Dunn of Pocatello. Val Jean had seven brothers and sisters: Don and Ron (twins), Verlyn, Fritz, Carlos, Marclene, and Laverne. She loved her family and friends.
Val Jean enjoyed her time visiting her favorite place, Crouch in Garden Valley. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles and crocheting.
Val Jean was the city clerk for over twenty years in Middleton, Idaho. She received numerous awards from the State of Idaho for her dedication and service.
She cherished her lifelong friends, Troy and Leta Nation and their daughters, Judy, Joyce, Janet, Jeanne and Jody from Middleton. She loved her Yorkshire Terrier, Missy.
The family is planning a private service Monday, April 16th in Boise. Val Jean will be buried next to her mother, Mable Dunn, in the Middleton Cemetery.
