Springtown--Vi Allison, 83, a homemaker, died Wednesday, Sept 26, 2001, in Fort Worth. Funeral: 1:30 PM Friday at First United Methodist Church. Burial: Springtown Cemetery. Visitation: 6 10 8 pm Thursday.
Viola Elizabeth Allison was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was born in Estelline on April 16, 1918. Viola had lived in Springtown most of her life. In 1934 she married Roy Allison in Boyd. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church and was also a member of the Quilting Club at her church.
Survivors: Husband of 67 years, Roy Allison of Springtown; sons, Charles Allison and wife, Mildred, of Sulphur Springs and Ricky Allison and wife, Cathy, of Sulphur Springs; daughter Alma Jean Hodge and husband Bruce, of Arlington; brothers Waymon Dunlap and wife, Bea, Jay Dunlap and wife, Floss, and Marvin Dunlap and wife, Doris; sister, Alma Earl; 20 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.
