Mrs. Best, Area Resident, Dies Sunday — ST. PETERSBURG - Mrs. Rod E. (Mary Ethel) Best, 77, of St. Petersburg died at 5:25 a.m. Sunday in the Clarion Hospital. She was born November 20, 1892, in Beaver Township, a daughter of the late Rhuben and Sarah Thomas Dunkle. She was married October 24, 1908, to Rod E. Best. He preceded her in death in 1964. She was a member of the Nazarene Church of St. Petersburg. She is survived by eight daughters; Mrs. Chester (Helen) Wensel of St. Petersburg, Mrs. Harold (Blanche) Ketner of Foxburg, Mrs. John (June) Fleming of Warren, Ohio, Mrs. Clarence (Ruth) Garris of Knox RD, Mrs. Leroy (Mary) Garris of Knox RD, Mrs. Blaine (Mabel) Fennell of Olean, N.Y., Mrs. Edward (Grace) Garris of Geauga Lake, Ohio, and Mrs. Edward (Lottie) Reed of Angola, N.Y.; two sons, Paul R. Best of St. Petersburg and Harold R. Best of Warren, Ohio; three brothers, Harry Dunkle of Sligo RD, Colonel Dunkle of Rimersburg and Ira Dunkle of Van; 21 grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren. One son preceded her in death in 1918 and one sister. Friends may call at the Karie D. McKinney Funeral Home in St. Petersburg. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Funeral Home with Rev. James Grimm of the Nazarene Church officiating. Interment will be in the St. Petersburg Cemetery.
