Adelaide K. Dunham, 83, died Tuesday, December 31, 2013 at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming.

Adelaide was born November 20, 1930 in Mobile, Alabama the daughter of Raymond Thaddeus and Madeline Inez (Wahl) Kearney.

Adelaide and Lee Dunham were married May 12, 1956 in Mobile and moved to Wheatland in 1957. Through the years Adelaide worked both as a legal secretary and in the Platte County Treasure Office, but her true calling was as a volunteer for many causes. Her passion for volunteerism was most evident in her work for the Platte County Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and for her church, Saint Patrick's Catholic Church in Wheatland. As a life-long and devoted Catholic, she was honored by serving Mass at Saint Peter's Basilica in Rome. This was one of her treasured memories.

Family was Adelaide's lifeblood as evidenced by her love and devotion as a daughter, wife, mother, mother-in-law, sister, sister-in-law, and aunt.

Adelaide is survived her husband, Lee, of Wheatland; her son, David and his wife, Kelly, of Denver, Colorado; her brother, Raymond T. Kearney and his wife, Billie, of Pasadena, Texas; her brother-in-law, Jim Dunham, of Wheatland; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
