Gerald Lee "Jerry" Dunham, 55 of Columbus, died Thursday, April 23, 1998 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am. Monday at First Baptist Church, with burial in the Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery, Ft. Mitchell, AL, according to Striffler-Hamby Mortuary, Columbus. Dr. Ron Grizzle will officiate. Mr. Dunham was born August 21, 1942 in Illiopolis, IL, son of George Lewis Dunham and Viola Gertrude McKinney Dunham. He was a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative, an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, member of the First Baptist Church, where he was a member of the choir. He was a member of the Jaycees, Kiwanis and Sertoma Clubs and past chairman of the local chapter of the March of Dimes. Survivors include his wife, Peggy Raines Dunham of Columbus; two sons, Michael Gray of Atlanta and Michael Hall of Columbus; a daughter and her husband, Jennifer (Bill) Jenkins of Midland, GA; six sisters; four brothers; and one granddaughter. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Columbus Hospice or The Building Fund of Columbus Hospice.
