Mrs. Sue Dunham Benfield age 90, of Salisbury, passed away Monday, August 18, 2008, at Heritage Plantation.
She was born in Rowan County, on November 13, 1917, a daughter of the late Gardner E. Dunham, Sr. and Ruth Lentz Dunham. Mrs. Benfield was educated in Rowan County Schools and was a cosmetologist for many years. She was a member of St John's Lutheran Church.She was married to C. Clayton Benfield, Sr. in August of 1940. She was very active in the Eastern Star and was a former Worthy Matron.
She is preceded in death by her husband C. Clayton Benfield, her brothers, Joe, James, William, and Gardner E. Dunham, Jr., and her sister, Ruth Dunham Monday.
