Funeral service for Mr. Louis Bliss Dunham, 82, of Goodwater, will be Monday, February 15, 2016 at 11:00 am at the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home. Randy Anderson will officiate. Burial will follow in the Smyrna Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Radney Funeral Home. Veteran’s Honors will be provided by the Alexander City Veterans Honor Guard at the Graveside.
Mr. Dunham passed away on Friday, February 12, 2016 at his residence. He was born on October 1, 1933 in Coosa County, Alabama to Fredrick Bliss Dunham and Eula Mae Phillips Dunham. Mr. Dunham operated Peanut Point on Lake Martin for 26 years. He served in the Navy for 4 years and was a Korean War Veteran. Mr. Dunham never met a stranger and enjoyed fishing, playing cards and dominos. He loved spending time attending auctions.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Eyvonne M. Dunham of Goodwater; sons, , Robert Bliss Dunham (Melinda),of Goodwater, Randall Louis Dunham (Elizabeth), of Goodwater, Timothy Lynn Dunham (Brenda), of Goodwater; sister, Dorothy Griffin of Goodwater; brother, Harold Dunham (JoAnn), of Goodwater; eleven grandchildren and seventeen great grand-children.
Pallbearers will be Nick, Nate, Brad, Wes, Scott, Ryan and Brock Dunham.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Terry Dale Dunham and brother, Wilbur F. Dunham.
